Your Generous Donation Can Help Make a Difference for OSU Extension in Ashtabula County

Do you know that you can make a tax-deductible donation to OSU Extension in Ashtabula County? As a government non-profit organization, you are able to make a donation to The Ohio State University and have it go 100% towards our Extension programs in Ashtabula County.

OSU Extension is proud of its long tradition of providing education for Ashtabula County.  Since 1917, OSU Extension has been conducting programs for our agricultural industry (the #1 employer and #2 economic industry in the county), has helped thousands of youth each year learn responsibility and citizenship through 4-H club work, and has been helping families improve their nutrition, family relationships, and economic condition.

OSU Extension’s work with a large volunteer force increases the impact of our office staff. Over 200 4-H Advisors managing 72 4-H clubs help over 1,300 4-H youth members and 4,000 youth in school enrichment programs.  In addition, over 40 Ashtabula County Master Gardeners volunteer nearly 2,100 hours each year helping community residents with their horticulture problems.  We thank each of our volunteers for helping OSU Extension to make the best better in Ashtabula County.

The first gifting option is donating to the Ashtabula County Extension Current Use Fund (#311035). This fund allows a tax deductible gift to be made with the entire donation earmarked for use for OSU Extension work in Ashtabula County.  This money will be used for educational program events in 4-H Youth Development, Agricultural & Natural Resources (ANR), Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) and Community Development (CD).

An endowment fund is also being established to permanently support the Extension Educator positions in Ashtabula County.  This is a great option for individuals who would like to include Ashtabula County Extension as they develop their estate plan. Our goal is to raise the $1 million dollars to permanently fund each position by the 100 year anniversary.of when the first Extension Educators were hired (ANR - 2017, 4-H - 2020, and FCS - 2034) in Ashtabula County.
