Garlic, Asparagus & Rhubarb Class

OSU Extension and the Ashtabula County Master Gardeners will be hosting a Growing Garlic, Asparagus and Rhubarb class on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Ashtabula County Extension office from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Join the Ashtabula County Master Gardeners as they help gardeners learn more about growing garlic, asparagus and rhubarb. This class will include pertinent facts about each; current recommendations for planting, propagation and harvesting; most common pests, diseases and recommended solutions. This program is geared to the home gardener who wants to start crops of garlic, rhubarb and/ or asparagus.  A pre registration fee of $5 is required and the class is limited to the first 40 participants.  This fee includes refreshments and workshop handouts. The deadline to register is October 30.  For more information contact the Ashtabula County Extension office at 440-576-9008.
