4-H Youth Development

Ashtabula County Saddle Horse Committee

October 12, 09

President, Bernie Kranauer called meeting to order

Secretary mins. Reviewed Dave Silva 2nd Val D

Treasurer report reviewed approved Dave Silva 2nd Ruth Somnitz

Becky’s report, 4-H Foundation successful, carnival there was over 300.

Nov. 21 Adv. Banquet at the Lenox Comm. Center

Hippology starting in Jan.

Light Horse starting in Jan.

Horse Bowl starting up Oct. 18 first time 12:30 to 3:00 at extension office

Next time 1-3

4-H Committee will be setting up times to meet with nominates for top Jr. & Sr. 4-Her

Jr. Fair Board election coming up

Sr. Fair Board had elections Tony Felecjan was elected

Charles found out that the ring rental does include Food Booth, no other items.

Discussed putting up sign to close ring

Missing Sign for Honor Barn 4 by 8 with names on it who helped build the barn.

Discussed possibility of getting a golf cart on the west side.

Also use of the radio

Ring is looking good, it has 218 ton of stone

Need more Val made motion to get more stone Betty H. 2nd All

Plans for a meeting for the two day show on June 12 & 13 committee will be Nov 2

Reverse Raffle we have the expo center for 2-13

Discussed adding rigatoni and chicken to the Swiss steak choice

Ticket will be at next meeting

Each club should donate a basket of around $30. to $50.

There will be 200 ticket sold

Plans to discuss  more with Chris March Committee  Meeting 10- 21at 6:00 at Hardy’s
