4-H Ice Cream Social Attracts Over 300
The 4-H Ice Cream Social hosted by the Ashtabula County 4-H Committee and OSU Extension at the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 attracted over 300 people. This ice cream social was held to kick off Ashtabula County 4-H Week.
4-H Banquet Celebrates 2011 Success
More than 120 advisors, youth and family members came together on November 12, 2011 at the 4-H Advisor Recognition Banquet to celebrate another successful 4-H year in Ashtabula County.

OSU Extension and AmeriCorps partner to help rural homeowners in financial distress
Economically vulnerable residents in Ashtabula County will benefit from a new OSU Extension and AmeriCorps program designed help struggling homeowners with our country’s mortgage crisis. The Ashtabula County Extension office is pleased to be selected as one of the host sites for two AmeriCorps volunteers who will provide community outreach and family-based coaching beginning in August 2012. The goal of the program is to help improve the long-term security of economically vulnerable homeowners in rural, Ohio.
Private Pesticide Applicators to See Changes on Ohio License
This fall, Ohio private pesticide applicators will receive a new license showing a change in categories. A pesticide license is required for farmers who use restricted-use pesticides in their farming operation.
OSU to Help Income Tax Preparers with RTRP Competency Testing
OSU Extension and the OSU Income Tax School Program are pleased to announce that we will be offering assistance for individuals who are preparing to take the new Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) competency test in 2012. We will be offering two educational options to help tax practitioners prepare for these tests.
