Winter Tree ID Class to be Held in November

OSU Extension is pleased to be offering a “Winter Tree ID” workshop on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Big Creek Park in Geauga County located at 9160 Robison Road in Chardon Township from 9:30 to 2:30 p.m.

This workshop will focus on identifying trees in the winter.  This one day workshop is designed to give participants in-depth training and practice on identifying trees without the leaves. The class begins indoors with some introductory identification clues and samples. A guide for identifying trees by fruit and twigs will be utilized for a portion of the class.

A pre-registration fee of $35 is required.  This fee includes morning refreshments, lunch, and workshop handouts. This class qualifies for 4 hours of continuing education credit for the Ohio Forest Tax Law Program.  The deadline to register is November 6, 2009.  Online Registration with payment is available at http://woodlandstewards.osu.edu.
